KDY's new clubhouse under construction at Skovshoved Havn

Race village takes shape in Skovshoved

On the harbour front in Skovshoved, the scaffolding is up and the roof is on. KDY’s new 1,500 m² clubhouse is well under way — and when the fleet arrives in August 2027, it will be the heart of the Garmin ORC World Championship.

Right now it looks like what it is: a building site. But the view is already finished. From the quay, the open water of Øresund and the race areas are right in front of you, with the Swedish coast on the horizon.

One home ashore

The idea behind the new clubhouse is simple: everything a championship needs ashore, in one place and right next to the boats. During race week it will house:

Crews walk from the clubhouse to their boats in a few minutes, and after racing there is no need to leave the harbour to eat, meet other teams or follow the results.

A marina with everything

The clubhouse sits in a marina that already has what visiting teams need: a sail loft, a shipyard, restaurants and street food. Central Copenhagen is close by for crews and families who want to explore the city in the evenings.

Follow the build

We will share updates and photos as the clubhouse takes shape between now and August 2027. Read more about the venue, the clubhouse and Skovshoved Havn on The Event page.
