In August 2027 the world’s best ORC crews meet on Øresund for nine days of racing — and everything they need ashore is right there in the marina.
Racing starts from a brand-new committee boat, with courses laid by MarkSetBot robotic marks. Ashore, the new clubhouse, a sail loft, a shipyard, restaurants and street food are all in Skovshoved Havn.

Look past the scaffolding. By August 2027 this is KDY’s new 1,500 m² clubhouse at Skovshoved Havn — the championship’s home ashore, with race office, crew areas and the social programme under one roof and the boats right outside the door.

“The world’s best offshore sailors deserve a world-class championship. We are proud to welcome you to Copenhagen and Øresund in 2027.”

Skovshoved Havn sits on the coast just north of Copenhagen, with the open water of Øresund right outside the harbour entrance.
Short sailing distance to the race areas, a compact shore base where crews, boats and the race office share one waterfront, and the city within easy reach in the evenings — a practical home for a big international fleet.

Where to eat, drink and look around between race days — our own picks, collected in one Google Maps list.
